This is a fashion merchandising FAIL if I can say so (which I just did….so there). I LOVED this dress on the BRAVO show, The Fashion Show.  The original, winning design is on the left.  How the show works is that the winning creation each week is manufactured for the masses to purchase on BravoTV.com.  Not that I have $145 laying around to buy a dress (that, by the way…will not even SHIP until SEPTEMBER 14th. I mean really…what the eff? One single person made the first dress in like 11 hours or something. Geeesh.) but I wanted to check it out….it’s just sooo darn cutest.
This is what I find. They took all that was adorable about the look & farted out this tween polk-a-dot barf sack.  Really. The print of the original one was darling.  The colors were fresh & playful yet still had boardroom chops. The duplicate for sale? Come on. Out of all the fabrics in all the lands they pick that one. I shake my head in shame.
Also…Isaac Mizrahi is the co-host on this show. How could he allow such a crap pot to be put on the stove? Sigh, sigh….double sigh.
Side Note: Isn’t is creepypants that the real human model is skinnier than the plastic mannequin?  Yup. I think so, too.
